Chakras are our bodies’ energetic filtering systems. They clear negative and neutral energy from our bodies. We have hundreds of chakras all throughout our bodies. We also have seven main chakras that are located down the center line of our bodies. These chakras are the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown. Each of these seven main chakras is associated with a system, an organ, and/or a particular body part. For example, the root chakra correlates to our circulatory system (blood) and bones and energetically cleans and clears them.
We also have secondary chakras. Secondary chakras are also energy filters and according to traditional medicine are thought to correspond to nerve nexi (nexus) on the prime meridian of our nervous system. Some of the secondary chakras are located just above our ears, below our clavicle, in our biceps, wrists, hands, torso, thighs, calves, ankles, and feet. These chakras serve to clean and clear our energies, too, and just like the seven main chakras, they can become clogged. When we clear and clean these secondary chakras, we are helping our primary chakras to function optimally.
